A Light Polish to Streamline & Strengthen

Dustin will perform a round of proofing and polishing on your entire script, streamlining, clarifying, and handling light, touch-up revision work to get the script ready for industry eyes and scrutiny.

This service is best utilized just prior to submitting a script to executives, producers, and/or key filmmakers.

If Dustin feels anything is missing or needs to be added to the script to make it stronger, he will provide detailed notes on that as well but will not make major alterations nor add new scenes, plot points, or characters. This is primarily a polishing draft, removing anything extraneous, ensuring a professionally proofread and tightly edited screenplay.

"At some point, the most persistent screenwriters feel that they should go back to the essentials. You take a quick look at Aristotle’s Poetics, you fly once again over Syd Field’s structure tips, you come up with your own wrap up of the hero’s journey and the essential of Story. Then, you jump again to the multiple suggestions that are coming out night and day from today’s masters, trying to reorganize it all. But when you find Dustin Lee, it’s like a perfect mixture of all that. It’s the essential permanently in sight, but also enriched with the latest insights and unique tips coming out of the most challenging habitat in the world."

I engaged Dustin to perform a Script Review polish on my final product. It's amazing the added confidence I have sharing the script with potential producers, directors, and representation knowing that it's had the highest level of professional scrutiny. I highly recommend Dustin Lee's script services!"

"Dustin’s expert polishing of my script was everything I could have hoped for. With speed and efficiency he worked his magic and turned my script into a streamlined and professional piece of writing – very much still my work only a million times better. Not only is he highly approachable, but also if you ask him a question, he gives you an answer, usually within 24 hours. He explains everything very clearly, and tells it as it is, while at no time making you feel inadequate. I was super impressed by the trouble that Dustin took over my script. I consider myself lucky to have worked with him, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to other screenwriters. You could not find a better mentor or guide."
